Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut have been under media spotlight and public scrutiny first for their affair and then, for their feud. Most recently, an Indian tabloid got hold of the legal notices that the two had sent each other and published the content. It became clear that relations had indeed soured between the two individuals and that they had also been involved in an affair a couple of years ago. However, Hrithik came forward and broke the silence over the matter.
“Anything private that becomes public gives rise to speculation and unnecessary controversies simply because the general public is not privy to the whole truth. Out of respect for everyone involved, I followed the legal path to resolve the matter in question so as to keep it private,” he said.
Hrithik was also critical of the fact that the contents of the legal notice had been published.
“It was a breach of ethics to reveal the contents of a private legal notice. Dignified silence is dignified up to a point, but there comes a time when the silence needs to be broken to protect one’s name, family, and image,” stated the Agneepath actor.
The Junior Roshan also clarified categorically that the email id [email protected], which had communicated with Kangana Ranaut, was not his but an impersonator had been behind it. “I had filed a complaint in this regard with Mumbai Cyber Crime cell on 12th December 2014, when I learned of this impersonator communicating with said person. I have no connection with this ID. The entire issue stems from a case of identity theft which has carried over to me. My complaint was reactivated on March 5, 2016, and the crime unit has made headway in tracking this person down. Once that is done, the matter can be laid to rest,” he said.
Hrithik also said that he did not use anyone’s mental health to defame them since it was a serious issue and he respected that.
“Mental health is a grave and crucial issue which merits serious discussion. I would never address it flippantly nor use it as a personal attack. Any allegation to the contrary is a misrepresentation of facts.”
