An animated segment of the short video showed two JF-17s, one on each side of an Indian symbol to commemorates the Indian independence day. The video also showed the Indian tri-color flag draped under the jet.
However, it was pointed out by eagle-eyed users on social media that the jets were actually Pakistan, after which the red-faced Indian ministry and government officials deleted the video.
The JF-17 Thunder jets which was jointly made by Pakistan and China, have a striking similarity to the Indian Tejas fighter jets, as both are single-engine light combat aircraft but Tejas does not have tail planes, and the JF-17’s air intakes are located further forward on the fuselage.
