Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and Dr. Tahirul Qadri of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) are leading protests against the government of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in federal capital Islamabad.
According to sources, Ashraf Gujjar, Member Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority, in his plea to the Interior Ministry has sought the names of Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri in the ECL saying both of them have been booked in scores of cases of terrorism and lawlessness.
He wrote that the names of the two leaders should be kept in the ECL till both of them be cleared from the cases.
The Interior Ministry has summoned a meeting to consider the request, sources added.
