Shooty Fruity, the multi-tasking shooter only possible with a VR headset and motion control, has arrived on PlayStation VR, only possible with two motion controllers.
Dubbed as the world’s first manic blend of scanning, serving, packing and shooting, Shooting Fruity allows players can take on new roles, unlock new weapons and blow up tons of fruit in their career.
Shooty Fruity combines VR sharpshooting with immersive job simulation, in an over-the-top multitasking game that guarantees players never look at your local supermarket in the same way again.
Dan Sheridan, Communications Manager at developer nDreams, said they have “held back a ton of unannounced features until now, including a brand-new job packing produce in the warehouse, more ballistics, a bullet-time style power up, and more variety in the fruit bowl (including flying bananas!)”.
He said they got a store full of useful tips to help plasyers in the world of Shooty Fruit. Players can head to the Super Mega Mart warehouse to pack the right produce down the chutes and send them on their way once they complete an order, whilst fending off mad fruit hiding behind the boxes.
The are explosive additions to their arsenal include a Gatling gun and rocket launcher, which players havr to earn as they are ludicrously powerful.
Sheridan has gave some some tips and tricks to help players since thinks that everyone is not a “un-toting, scanning multitasking maniac by nature.”
This includes using both hands, destroy the environment to get a better line of sight for oncoming fruit, and a tidy work space for a tidy mind by Ignoring the pulpy explosions and general madness in the store, as keeping the counter tidy will mean players won’t end up trying to shoot an enemy with a can of beans.
Furthermore, players should multitask, and try not to focus on one task more than the other as they might get distracted by the hordes of fruit, but will quickly be outgunned if they avoid duties.
Be a ballistic hoarder: All those guns floating past players head may come in useful later. Grab them early and leave them to one side using the conveniently placed shelves. Don’t let them blindside you, as some fruit will sneak around the sides and attack from out of sight.
Be a high achiever and attempt a skillshot: Get bonus points by shooting the enemy from far away or in mid-air. Go for broke and get multiple kills in one go.
Players are recommended to scan multiple items if their workload is piling up, drop the guns and scan with both hands to get things moving again, supersize by scooping and get a higher score by piling food on the trays using their open hands as scoopers. Lastly if players can’t find the right produce and want to move on, then they should pull the lever and get a new one.
