Sources told that the trains will start operating before the fall of Eid. They told that three trains will operate from Karachi to Lahore, while another will run via Karachi to Rawalpindi.
Sources in the railways ministry further informed that a train from Lahore to Peshawar will also run. Similarly another train will operate from Quetta to Rawalpindi.
These trains will start running before Eid, however the ministry did not specify the time how long before Eid these trains will start their operations.
According to estimates, some 3.5 million people travel by special and regular trains to celebrate Eidul Fitr and Eidul Azha in their hometowns across the country.
