Anwar Mansoor Khan said the decision for removal legal flaws over the matter of COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa's extension will be decided in the parliament.
Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Wednesday extended his complete support for extension in the tenure of incumbent Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
The lawyer said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan held no jurisdiction over the prime minister's decision as to whose tenure he wants to extend and whosoever he wishes to appoint next.
Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa has issued directives to the Pakistan Armed Forces to begin urgent relief efforts in the areas affected by the earthquake.
"Asaminew Tsige, who has been in hiding since the failed coup attempt over the weekend has been shot dead" in the regional capital Bahir Dar, state broadcaster EBC reported
During the meeting, the Chinese commander lauded the role of Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism and continued efforts for regional peace and stability.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement revealed that matters pertaining to geo-strategic condition and national security came under discussion during the meeting.
"The officers were tried under Pakistan Army Act (PAA) and Official Secret Act by separate Field General Court Marshal (FGCM) for separate cases," read a statement issued by ISPR.
