KARACHI: A suspected target killer affiliated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)-London was arrested in the city by law enforcement agencies on Wednesday.
A joint operation was conducted by Rangers and police in Karachi on intelligence report and arrested Ghufran Ahmed who is the member of MQM-London’s Saleem Belgium’s target killing team.

Sindh Rangers spokesperson said Ghufran Ahmed was involved in target killing and terrorist activities in the city. He informed that Ghufran was one of the facilitators in December 23 attack on Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) Town office.
The spokesperson further informed that eight member of MQM-London’s Saleem Belgium’s target killing team are already in police custody and they are being interrogated.
On Feb 12, the police had arrested a ‘target killer’ of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London from city’s area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
According to senior superintendent of police (SSP) Malir, Imran alias Mani rounded up by the Mubina Town police from Gabool Park, had confessed killing of more than 10 people in Landhi, Sohrab Goth, Korangi, Malir and Gulistan-e-Jauhar areas.
He was wanted to police in several cases of firing on cops and his involvement in other heinous crimes. The police had also recovered weapon and a snatched motorcycle from the custody of MQM-L shooter.
