OTT platform HBO Max is working on a second ‘The Big Bang Theory‘ spinoff show.

According to a foreign news agency, Chuck Lorre – who co-created ‘The Big Bang Theory‘ and ‘Young Sheldon‘, is creating the untitled project. The details of the plot have not been disclosed. However, the series is set to be an hour long and will feature new cast.
‘The Big Bang Theory‘ told the story of four socially awkward scientists Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) and Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar).
Their lives change when they ran into the love of their lives Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), and Bernadette Rostenkowski (Melissa Rauch).
Raj Koothrappali stays single till the end of the show.

The comedy show ran for 12 seasons from 2007 to 2019 and received highly positive reviews. Around 18 million viewers tuned into see the series finale.

‘Young Sheldon‘, on the other hand, made its debut in 2017 and is currently on its sixth season. Like the name suggests, Iain Armitage plays nine-year-old version of Sheldon Cooper. Jim Parsons is the narrator of the show.
