ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan to chair Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s parliamentary party meeting on Wednesday (today), ARY News reported.

The meeting will begin around 3:00 pm at the Parliament house. Matters pertaining to situation after Federal Minister Faisal Vawda’ statement and other important matters will come under discussion.

All the elected members of the party have been asked to ensure their presence.

Yesterday, Prime Minister’s House spokesperson had rejected reports that PM Khan expressed displeasure over Faisal Vawda for visiting the restive Line of Control (LoC).

“Neither did the prime minister take notice of Faisal Vawda’s visit to LoC nor gave him directives,” clarified the spokesman. “The reports doing rounds about the minister negate the truth.”

He advised people to desist from spreading disinformation.

It may be recalled that Prime Minister Imran Khan after taking notice of Fayyazul Hassan Chohan’s derogatory statement against the Hindu community, had directed provincial authorities to ask the Punjab information minister to tender his resignation.

PM Khan had also issued strict directives to federal and provincial ministers, saying that such statements will not be tolerated anymore which hurt sentiments of believers of any religion.
