ISLAMABAD/ JEDDAH: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Dr Noorul Haq Qadri on Friday called on Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umrah Dr Mohammad Saleh bin Tahir Benten in Jeddah, ARY News reported.

They discussed preparations and arrangements for the Hajj operation. They also discussed matters pertaining to bilateral affairs during the meeting. Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs Dr Mushtaq Ahmed and Director General Hajj Sajid Yousafani were also present on this occasion.

Dr Noorul Haq Qadri urged Dr Mohammad Saleh bin Tahir Benten to finalise the provision of extra Hajj quota for Pakistan and to include others cities of Pakistan including Karachi and Lahore in Road-to-Makkah project like Islamabad.

He said all the Hajj pilgrims were respected for him and taking care of their ease and facilities was included in his duties. The Road to Makkah project was part of the same facilities, he said.

The federal minister for religious affairs and interfaith harmony said the government would review inclusion of other cities also in the ‘Road to Makkah’ project.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, Qadri will review the arrangements made for Pakistani pilgrims under the Hajj Mission of Pakistan.
