Govt school in CM Shahbaz’s constituency turns into ruins

LAHORE: The building of a government primary school in the constituency of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore has gone to rack and ruin, laying bare his tall claims of providing basic necessities, including education and health, to the people of the province.

How the PML-N government is serious about accomplishing the goal of provision of free and quality education to the people of the province can be gauged from the fact that a school in the very constituency of the CM Punjab has turned into ruins.

The building of Government Girls Primary School, Chak Boota in the PP-159 has been left incomplete, awaiting government attention.In 2014, construction of the school building began with an aim to impart education to the girls of the area so that they would not have to travel long distance to get education, but it was left incomplete for the reasons best known to the authorities.

With the passage of time, the unfinished structure has turned into ruins, with heaps of garbage strewn everywhere.

The girls of the neighborhood are compelled to go to far-off to expensive private schools owing to lack of a proper school in their area.

Speaking to ARY News, they complained that on the one hand, the Punjab chief minister claimed to set up special schools for the children from underprivileged families, on other the building of a government school couldn’t completed after passage of more than three years.
