“We all know he has not committed that crime for which he has been arrested. However, we have still acceded to the court orders and left Anees in jail,” he said while addressing a press conference over Anees’ arrest.
He said the president PSP had never talked to former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain over phone. Anees was not involved in the crime for which he had been named.
“Activists should remain calm over Anees’ arrest and show patience and peace,” he said while appealing from his party workers.
He said arrest of MQM leaders had provided MQM chief another chance to sob
“What I am saying is that jailing, killing, disappearing of MQM workers cannot harm MQM chief for he wants it to happen,” he said.
It may be noted that nominated Mayor for Karachi Waseem Akhtar, Rauf Siddiqui and Anees Qaimkhani were arrested from the Anti-Terrorism Court’s premises in Karachi today and were sent to jail when the Judge cancelled their bails, while Abdul Qadir Patel left the court premises.
