Rawalpindi defeated Karachi Blues by 22 runs.

The hosts, opting to bat first scored 144/7 in their 20 overs with Awais Zia being the top scorer with 45 runs from 31 balls with the help of five boundaries and two sixes while Asif Ali made 26 runs from 23 deliveries with a four and two sixes to his name.

Mukhtar Ahmed scored 16 runs from 17 balls after hitting three fours.

Mohammad Asghar and Saeed Ajmal grabbed two wickets each for Karachi.

In reply, Karachi side could only manage 122/7 in their 20 overs. Khurram Manzoor made 30 runs from 40 balls after hitting four fours while Ali Khan and Fawad Alam scored 22 and 20 runs respectively for their side.

Aizaz Cheema took three wickets for Rawalpindi in the last over of the match.

In another match Lahore Blues defeated Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) by six wickets.

FATA, being sent in to bat first, managed to put up 139/7 in their alloted 20 overs with skipper Fawad Khan being the top scorer with 38 runs from 30 balls while Aamer Yamin made 21 runs off 16 deliveries after hitting a six and a four as well.

Fahim Ashraf and Zafar Gohar took two wickets each for Lahore.

Blues reached the target of 140 runs in 18.5 overs with six wickets to spare thanks to an unbeaten 66-run knock by Saad Nasim, which included four fours and five sixes. Naved Yasin made 38 runs with the bat as well.

FATA bowlers Bilal Asif, Asif Ali and Mohammad Imran all took a wicket each for their team.

Peshawar beat Islamabad by 36 runs in third match of the day.

Peshawar, being invited to take guard, scored 176/4 in 20 overs with Rafatullah Mohmand and Sohaib Maqsood scoring half centuries for the team.

Opener Mohmand scored 66 from 51 balls with the help of nine fours while Maqsood hit 51 runs from 22 balls with five boundaries and three sixes to his name.

Israrullah scored 42 runs from 33 balls which included five boundaries and two sixes.

Junaid Khan took two wickets for Islamabad while Adil Amin and Abdur Rehman grabbed a wicket each as well.

In reply, Islamabad scored 140/5 in their given 20 overs with Afaq Raheem and Imam-ul-Haq scoring 34 runs each.

Peshawar’s Imran Khalid and Imran Khan took two wickets each whereas Waqas Maqsood dismissed one Islamabad batsman as well.
