ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani on Monday expressed displeasure over the agreement between Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) protesters which resulted in clumination of a days long sit-in in Islamabad, ARY News reported.
“The incidents that unfolded in the last two days in Pakistan are alarming. Such a situation is dangerous for politics, democracy and state of Pakistan. Such rising trends should be halted. The parliament will not let affect democracy and constitution a bit,” he said while addressing the Senate.
Raza Rabbani asked PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry about interior minister in the Senate asking him why the parliament was not taken into confidence while entering into an agreement with the protestors.
“People were fatigued by the sit-in demonstration and members of the parliament were assaulted. The prime minister should have taken the House into confidence before taking any decision,” he said.
