For the unversed, the Civil Society of Pakistan held a rally in the Clifton area of Karachi on Saturday, to express solidarity with the people of Palestine amid the ongoing attacks from Israel.

The ‘Habs’ star Ushna Shah also joined the hundreds of marchers, with a placard reading, ‘This is not conflict, it is genocide’, as they walked to show their support to the Palestinians.

Speaking to a local news outlet of the country at the march, Shah raised her voice against the oppression of Israel and said, “It is our collective responsibility being a Muslim, and more so being a human [to raise our voice] when it is not even a war, rather call it genocide, apartheid, or murder.”

Urging the Muslim superpowers to speak up on the matter and say as it is instead of the neutral stances, the celebrity stated, “It is us, the common people, who need to take to the streets to protest and demand the government to openly condemn the atrocities happening [to Palestinians] at the hands of Israeli forces.”

“We need to continue doing this until it stops, and I am not talking about a temporary ceasefire, but an absolute freedom,” Shah added.

“It is no more a Muslims vs. Jews war, but a zionist propaganda and regime to put Palestine through ethnic cleansing, hence, it is crucial for everyone to pause their happenings of life and speak up on the matter,” she concluded.

Meanwhile, a total of 704 Palestinians, including 305 children, were killed on Tuesday, the health ministry in Gaza said, a toll the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said was the highest reported in a single day since the conflict began nearly three weeks ago.
