Khawaja Asif denies military intervention in political deadlock

Speaking to media, Khawaja Asif cleared that there isn’t any conflict between government and Army in the current political situation.

“The situation is quite different from that of 1958, 1977 or 1999”, he added.

The Minister said every institution of country is safeguarding the constitution. He said new tradition has been set in the country as judiciary and army of today is quite different from that of past.

Khawaja Asif made it clear that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will not resign because public has given mandate to him. He said that no extra-constitutional demand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) will be entertained.

Khawaja Asif claimed that foreign countries doing conspiracies to create Egypt like situation in the country because Pakistan is the only Muslim country in the world having atomic power.
