SHARJAH: West Indies lost three wickets before lunch as the side were 38/3 against Pakistan on the second day of the Sharjah test match, ARY News reported.
Earlier, Pakistan were dismissed after scoring 281 runs in their first innings. They had started the second day’s play 255/8 with Yasir Shah and Mohammad Amir on the crease.
The hosts lost their ninth wicket at the score of 280 as Mohammad Amir was bowled by Alzarri Joseph. He made 20 runs for the team.
West Indies wrapped up Pakistan’s innings as Shah was cleaned up by Joseph after contributing 12 runs with the blade.
Pakistan got their first breakthrough at the score of six runs as Wahab Riaz dismissed Leon Johnson, who was trapped leg before after making one run for the team.
The Caribbean side was reduced to 32/2 as Darren Bravo was caught by Mohammad Amir from the bowling of spinner Zulfiqar Babar.
West Indies lost their third wicket with 38 runs on the board as Marlon Samuels was out lbw from Yasir Shah’s bowling after scoring a duck.
West Indies trail by 243 runs with 7 wickets remaining.
